Green Arrow's 80th anniversary
Green Arrow has been around for 80 years now in DC comics and other media, as a result, DC decided to commemorate his anniversary by releasing an omnibus of the Green Arrow’s greatest adventures and exploits. -

PSP, Vita and PS3 store shut down Sony announced this week that the PlayStation Store will be shutting down on the PSP, PSVita and the PS3 on July 2nd. Sony is attempting to save money by cutting off servers to older platforms so they can focus on fully supporting the PS4 and PS5. -

Netflix’s 'The Witcher' has seen a huge amount of success, due in no small part to Jaskier’s very popular “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” song. Season 2 has been in the works for a while now and new cast members were recently announced. Cassie Claire will be playing 'Phillipa Eilhart' the elusive witch, Simon Callow will be playing the lawyer 'Codringer', Graham McTavish will play 'Dijkstra', the ever manipulative conman, and Chris Fulton will star as 'Reince', the behind the scenes mastermind of Vizima. -

Fans of the DC Extended Universe have been asking for a director's cut of Suicide Squad ever since it was announced the Snyder Cut would be seeing the light of day. Suicide Squad was met with pretty mixed receptions, some loved it, others hated it, most admitted that it could have been better. DC and Warner Brothers came together to make it known that there would be no reshoots or additional content for Suicide Squad this week. The studio will be focusing on the new film in the franchise. -

Invincible, an animated superhero television series from Robert Kirkman, one of the co-creators of 'The Walking Dead', premiered on Amazon Prime this past week. And according to fans of the comic, the show is a great adaptation and a unique take on the genre. -

Xbox held a conference showing off independent game developers and the games they’ll be bringing to Xbox and GamePass on launch day. Titles like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Boyfriend Dungeon and Craftopia will all be launching exclusively on Xbox sometime in the next year. -

DCEU fans received some good news this week when Warner Brothers announced their content slate of releases for the next calendar year. The Suicide Squad releases August 6th, 2021, The Batman releases March 44th 2022, Black Adam releases July 29th, 2022, The Flash releases November 4th, 2022, and finally, Aquaman 2 releases December 16th, 2022. -

Back 4 Blood is the spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead franchise, it’s even made by the same team for the most part! Early previews and beta access have been promising but the team at Turtle Rock studios decided to delay the game until October to give the game some more polish. It’s disappointing to wait but after Cyberpunk 2077 I think we’re all happy to wait longer for a finished game. -

When Keanu Reeves isn’t kicking ass in film, starring in video games, or building motorcycles, he’s writing comic books. BRZRKR was announced on Kickstarter as a 12-part comic series to be released over the next year, now Netflix is picking it up for an animated series and movie. Big news for a series that just launched! -

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum - Gameplay Teaser Trailer
The Lord of The Rings franchise has a somewhat sordid history with video games. Some games are good, some games are bad, The Middle Earth games have been the best in recent memory because of their Nemesis system. Now Gollum is finally getting his very own game. Though we haven’t seen enough to really say if it’ll be a good game or not but the early showing has promise. -

Aliens Fireteam Exclusive Gameplay
The latest game in the Aliens franchise, Aliens Fireteam, has released 25-minutes of exclusive gameplay content, and most fans have remained cautiously optimistic. Aliens fans have a history of being burned by video game adaptation but the studio behind this game seems to have done their homework in terms of making not only an authentic experience but a game that’s actually fun to play. -

Six Days in Fallujah's First Gameplay Trailer
Six Days in Fallujah is one of the most controversial games to ever be developed. The team behind it claims it gives an accurate portrayal of war. While that isn’t a rare claim in gaming, especially when it comes to shooters, Six Days is portraying the real-life story of the battle of Fallujah, using real names of real people, real locations and environments, real weapons, you get the idea. But some military experts disagree and gamers aren’t very happy with what they’ve seen. -

Suicide Squad Trailer
James Gunn’s 'The Suicide Squad' released its debut trailer this week, and while it looks a hell-of-a-lot better than the last one, it kinda fell on deaf ears. You could say DC is learning from their mistakes, but really they're just poaching talent from their competition. This movie does have a talking shark though if that sounds like something you'd be interested in. -

Monster Hunter Rise is a hit, selling over 4 million units in its first week! And the fan reception has been as positive if not more so than Monster Hunter World! The gigantic open-world levels, terrifying monsters, combined with diverse attack patterns that actually require strategy rather than button mashing make this game a real pleasure to play.
